TIME LOST IN WELSH COAL TRADE.
MAINLY DUE TO ABSENTEEISM.
(Received Aug. 25, 1.5 p.m.) LONDON, Aug..24. Seven million six hundred thousand working hours were lost on the South Wales coalfields in the twelve months ended the middle of July; 4,594,000 were due to avoidable absenteeism, 2,120,000 were unavoidable, and 658,----000 were due to strikes.
