LONDON RAILWAY DISPUTE SETTLED.
LABOR COVENANTS OF THE TREATY ATACKED.
LONDON. Aug. 22. The railwaymen have accepted the settlement.
WASHINGTON, Aug. 22. Senator Thomas, attacking the Labor covenants made at Versailles, said uniformity of labor conditions had been attained for th e world only at the cost of levelling down American laborers' wages. At present United States labor was employing methods threatening the nation's political and social existence. Congress ought to concern itself with these, not with international conditions.
