NO DEFINITE INFORMATION YET
BY CABLE—PEESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT SYDNEY, Aug. 23. A round table conrerence or seamen commences at Melbourne on Monday SYDNEY, Aug. 24. A meeting of the Seamen's linion to-day decided not to man the ships on Monday, pending further advices from Melbourne. Senator Millen has extended the time for the seamen's acceptance of the Government's terms in connection with the strike till noon on Monday. Early developments are anticipated in the chipping strike, but up to late to-night definite information i s lacking.
