WHAREROA.
(Prom Our Own Correspondent.)
One of the most successful dances held of late took place in the Hall on Friday evening, Aug. 1, there being quite a large number present. Several returned men, including Lieut. H. J. Laurent, V.C, were present, and1 all apparently had a real good time. Mrs Quinlan's music was again first-class, and extras played by local and visiting ladies were very much appreciated. The ladies, as in the past, supplied a firstclass supper, and for this the committee wishes to extend a hearty vote of thanks. Dancing was kept going till after one o'clock, when all left for home, thoroughly satisfied with the night's outing.
