There are many deaths in the prison at Riga. The food situation is desperate, 220,000 people being in need, whilst thousands have died of starvation and disease, spotted fever, smallpox, influenza and! pneumonia being rampant. The Bolshevists have confiscated fortunes and all bank funds. NEW YORK, June 6. The New York Sun's Paris correspondent states that reliable reports which are ron-" T> M HVo^ch official circles say that Kolchak will recognise the independence of Finland and Poland. He proposes an alliance with Mannerheim 'for the dual occupation of Petrograd. VIENNA, June 14. Russian Bolshevists are reported to have crossed the Galician border with the object of joining the Hungarian Bolshevists. LONDON, June 14. The Lettish information bureau at Stockholm reports that the Germans have captured Wenden.
