For "People's Day" at the New Plymouth Winter Show there was a record attendance. The judging of poultry occupied all day. Entries are very large and from all parts of the North Island. The North Island championships were won as follows: White Ply- . mouth Bocks, W. Cullen, Palmerston North; English Brown Leghorns, Stewart and Landsperg, Normanby; Fantail pigeons, C. C. Ayton (Waitara). The N.Z. Leghorn Club Show was also held, the principal shields being; w<jjn as follows: American White Leghorn shield, A. P. Lister, Frankley Road; Collinson and Cunningham shields, E. Evans, Palmerston North; Utility White Leghorn shield and Hawkins cup, D. Murphy, New Plymouth. THERE'S MONEY IN A GOOD IDEA!
