MOKOIA.

A very successful gathering was held in the Mokoia Hall on Wednesday evening to farewell five families who are shortly leaving the district. The guests of the evening were Messrs Tidswell, Torstonson, Melville, Morrison, Prowsa and families.
Dancing, interspersed with musical items, was the order of the evening. Songs were given by Mrs Catton, Miss Butler, and Messrs Strong and Jones. Mr L. Hunt ably carried out the duties of M.C. A% the close of the refreshment interval Mr Hunt expressed the regret felt by all at the departure of so many of the residents of the district, and wished them all good luck and. prosperity in their n©w homes. Messrs 'Torstonson, Prowse, Morrison, Tidswell and Melville returned thanks for the good wishes extended to them. Dancing was then, continued and carried on until the early hours of the morning.
