DOUBLE VEHICLE COLLISION.
An unfortunate accident occurred on Wednesday "evening (the Stratford Post relates), when Mr T. J. Malone was driving from Stratford towards his home at Hastings Road, when by some means he collided with another vehicle coming towards Stratford driven by Mr W. Witt, of Hastie Road, the accident occurring near the property of Mr J. S. Jones. Mr Malone was tnrown heavily and sustained injuries afterwards ascertained to include a fractured skull. His gig was badly damaged and the horse made off with the shafts and harness, careering madly along the road, but escaping further trouble until Jt ran into Mr W. J. Crofts, who was riding a motor cycle near the Poto Road. Mr Crofts was thrqwn heavily and badly shaken and bruised, and the cycle damaged to some extent. He was able, however, to reach Stratford, where he received attention. Mr T. J. Malone is now doing as well as can be expected.
