OAMARU, May 30. A fatal W>tor smash .pccurred on the main roadv about two • m«l<te north of Oamaru, just after dusk last night. Hugh Olass, licensee" of the Pembroke Hotel^ in the Otago Lakes district, accompanied by his vv ife and %ounj£ daughter, were coming 'int6 town^ by motor, via Liadis Pass. In- the darkness, the car apparently missed the narrow bridge over a "shallow creek and dropped into the depression, the car being capsized. JVlrs\Glass was killed, her neck being broken.
