ENTERTAINMENTS.

OPERA HOUSE, TO-NIGHT.

"The <oall of Heir Peopte," the marvellous screen adaptation of Edward Sheldon's play, "Egypt," in which Ji.thel Barrymore is the star, and which will be seen at the Opera House tonight, is the first of a series of Metro features of size and lavishness to be produced during 1919. Announcement of the productions was made in January by President Richard A. Rowland of Metro and work on "The Call of Her People' 5 was begun SO on afterward. Six hundred actors appeared before the camera for the play. Miss Barrimore as Egypt, the gipsy girl,.has unusual opportunities for displaying her great dramatic power. She is supported by Robert Whittier, who won praise in "The Awakening of Helena Richie,' 1 and William B. Davidson, who, as The Stranger iii "The White Raven," scored a great triumph.
