V.M.C.A. WORKERS ARRESTED

(Received Sept. 28, 11.25 a.m.) ™ i. EW YOBK > SeP*- 27. Mr Dosch Fleurot and Mr Poole have arrived m New York from Moscow. Interviewed, they said that the American Consulate flew the Norwegian flag tor protection against the Bolsheviki but the Lettish guards surrounded the building and permitted no food to enter, the consulate. There is danger that the water supply may b© out off. lhe French Consul, General'Grenard, and the French military attache, General Livergene, are among the besieged.

Mr Pool© was the only diplomat allowed to pass in and out of the American Consulate. V.M.C.A. workers in Moscow were arrested the BoLsheviki alleging that they were involved in counter-revolutionary plots.—Aus.-N Z Cable Assn. ' "
