1 SELF-DENIAL APPEAL

At the Ooop. saleyards at Glover road! yesterday afternoon a beast given by Mr J. Blair was auctioned in thel cause of the Salvation Army's Self-de-nial Fund, and a, New Zealand record was established, the splendid total of £1250 18s being realised. The previous record was held by Giborne, whose total amount was £1248. Captain Brown desires to thank the Farmers' Oo^op. Association and the donors who helped to make the. sale such a success.
