A, «. xxr AUCKLAND, Aug. 2. At the Wimmera enquiry nearly the whole morning was spent in the legal argument which was begun yesterday, as to the admission of certain official records as evidence that instructions had been issued with reference to the route to be taken to avoid the minefield. The Court finally decided to adjourn the point pending the receipt of affidavits from Sydney to show that instructions were received by Captain Kells and signed by him. Captain Hall-Thompson gave evidence as to the issue of instructions _to shipmasters, the nature of the mines found m New Zealand waters, and the precautionary measures adopted. . The Court then adjourned till Monday.
