THE SAME OLD BOASTS
(Received Aug. 2, 11.20 a.m.) AMSTERDAM, Aug. 1. The Kaiser's message to the army and navy states: "It is not the arrival of Americans and the numerical enemy .superiority that will win the victory, but the spirit animating German soldiers and sailors. We shall fight on until the enemy's will to destroy us is broken."
The Kaiser lauded the submarines' effort to prevent American forces crossing the Atlantic.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
