The Berlin Lokal Anzieger has learnt from a highly-placed Russian authority particulars of the Czar's last moments. Nicholas was awakened at five in the morning by a patrol of Red Guards, a non-com. and five men, and was told to dress. He was taken from his room, where the decision was communicated to Mm, and was allowed two hours to prepare for his end. He received the tidings with great, caimness, returned to his bedroom'and sank into a chair. He then asked for a priest, who was allowed to remain unattended. The C'.dar wrote several letters. , An escort came at nine to take the Czar to the place of execution. He tried to rise from his chair, but was unable to stand without support. He was put against a post. He raised his hands and appeared about to speak, when the rifles rang out and Nicholas fell dead.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
