MUTUAL HATRED AND CONTEMPT
(Received May 15, 10.25 a.m.) OTTAWA, May 14. The New York Globe's Amsterdam •correspondent interviewed a Dutch traveller from Germany, who stated "that hatred of Austria is growing in Germany. The feeling is -tnat if the •Central Powers lose the war it will be because of the incapability of and insufficient support from Austria. Publication of the Emperor Charles' peace letter with reference to AlsaceILorraine brought resentment to the highest pitch, and Austria's refusal to send troops to the West front has increased Germany's contempt.—Aus.--N.Z.
