AERIAL ACTIVITIES.

LONDON May 14. The Admiralty reports that between the 6th and 11th May aircraft from Dunkirk successfully bombed the docks and seaplane base at Ostend, also the Zeebrugge mole, lock-gates and sMpping. Several direct hits were secured on sheds and on Zeebrugge mole. A large shed at Ostend was completely burned. We destroyed six machines and drove two others down during the patrol. One British machine is missing. A seaplane on Friday, over the North Sea, engaged a Zeppelin, which retreated after half an hour.

Sir Douglas Haig's aviation report states that flying was impossible on Sunday until the evening, when visibility was excellent. We dropped eight tons of bombs in the neighborhood of Menin, Armentieres and La Bassee, also on Bruges docks. We brought down six enemy machines. One British machine is missing. Our night flyers dropped fourteen tons at night-time on the Marcoing and Chaulnes railway stations, the Bruges docks, and Bapaume and Peronne. One British machine did not re-turn.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. and Reuter.
