WHAKAMARA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.)
On Wednesday evening, August Ist, a social and dance was held m ;he Public Hall in aid of the lied Cross fund. Although the weather was anything but settled, quite a large assembled, and a very enjoyable evening was spent. Numerous competitions were indulged in, and as a result about £3 odd was collected for the fund. Mr W. Wills and his^ son Cecil, again kindly supplied the dance music and pii:noforte solos, which were greatly appreciated.
The factory opened {..gain i<n August Ist, and another season's dairyiug has started.'
