PARIS, July 12.. A French communique says: There was a lively artillery struggle north of Jouy, with the liveliest artillery ing in the eector of Hill 304. The Germans attacked north of Flirey, in the Woevre, but the enemy was completely driven out of a portion of a trench where he secured a footing. LONDON, July 12. Sir Douglas Haig reports: Enemy, artillerying at Nieuport has diminished, but ours continues to be active. The enemy pressed back slightly our advanced posts eastward of Monchy le Preux, on a front of 800 yards. We drove off an attempt north-westward of Lens. The weather prevented aerial activity until the evening. PAEIS, July 11.. An Allied conference, to deal principally wnh the Balkan situation, i© to meet at Paris, but the date has not yet. been fixed.
