MAGISTRATE'S COURT
Judgment for amount claimed with costs was given in the following cases: Alien Bros. v. E. Nicholas, £3 5s 7d; H. 1). Shepherd v. M. A. Ryan, £8 4s 6d.
On a judgment summons W. Clarry v. A. E. Speck, £2 8s 6d, an order was made that the money be paid within one month, in default two days' imprisonment.H. Gubb v. A. E. Cooper, £4 4s 9d, ordered to be paid within 14 days, in default 14 days' imprisonment.
Charles Edward Cossey, a member of the Reserve Force, convicted of failing to notify the Government Statistician by registered letter of his change of address, was.-ordered to pay 7s costs. For allowing cattle to wander on the Eltham County roads, the following were mulcted "in fines and costs: Horace Phillips^ ss; Johii Frederick Phillips, 10s; George Martin, 7s; Phillip Stoffel, 20s: Henry Robinson. 10s; T. H. McDonald, 10s; B. Cockroft, 10s; A. V. Schwieter. 10s. In the case Scoon v. Hastings, claim £20 for negligence in not finishimj; a building, the Magistrate gave judgment in favor of Scoon with costs.
