In the House of Commons Lord Robert Cecil stated tha<t the United States was not at war with Austria. Bulgaria or Turkey. No South American republic was actually at war with Germany.

WASHINGTON, July 11. Denmark has applied for a license to export meal cakes. The export council has withheld its decision until Denmark proves that the cakes are not to be used to fatten cattle for shipment to Germany. This is the first import case imder the embargo law.
