COOPER'S SEEDS.

"THE SEEDS OF SUCCESS."

At the Winter Show held at Hawera the firm of F. COOPER, LTD., of Wellington, Blenheim, Christchurch, etc., had a magnificent display of the produce of Cooper's Seeds. A feature of the display is the wonderfully fine specimens of practically all the principal vegetables, and " also Turnips, j Swedes, Mangels, Lucerne, Sudan Grass, and all the principal farm crops. Referring to Messrs Cooper's exhibit at the recent Palmerston North Winter Show, the Evening Post says: "For many years past Messrs Cooper's havo demonstrated that N.Z. grown seed is far and away superior to the imported article. It is fresher and of stronger germinating power, and being thoroughly acclimatised, is more suited to> J the N.Z. climatic conditions than imj ported seed can be. On the firm's stand were to be seen beautiful specimens of Cooper's Long Red Mangel and Cooper's Jersey Queen, unquestionably the best in the show. On the Government stand in the same hall was to be seen a big display of roots grown from Cooper's Seeds,'and compared with those from other firms and imported strains the specimens from Cooper's Seeds are miles ahead." The leading _ prize-takers at this show in. the Vegetable Root Classes were Mr T. Webb, Palmertson (who secured 29 prizes); Mr A. Passev, Pohangina ; Mr W. Webb, Hastings; and Mr Woolford, Rongotea. All these growers used Cooper's Seeds almost exclusively. A number of the other leading prize-takers were also successful with the produce of Cooper's Seeds. In the Government trials reported in the Journal of Agriculture. August 21, 1916, Mangels grown froni Cooper's specially selected seeds cropped 71 tone per acre, and beat all other competitors. The extent of the business ol: this firm may be gauged by the fact, that they require to sow each season, in N.Z. alone over 3000 acres of land , exclusively for seed purposes. All of Cooper's Seeds are tested for germination by the N.Z. Department of Agriculture, and also by their own independent tests, and nothing is allowed to go out until these tests prove satisfactory. Cooper's Seeds are stocked in bulk and in packets by the principal merchants and seeds in all parts of N.Z., but it is necessary to be sure that you really obtain Cooper's Seeds —the "Seeds of Success."—Advt.
