"BABY MINE."
J. C. WILLIAMSON COMEDY CO
Much praise has been handed out to the members of the company by a success of the initial production at Christchurch. After explaining the various humorous complications of the plot, our contemporaries go on to say tnat Miss Beatrice HolloAvay. Avho was seen in the character of Zoic, the childlike wife., excelled all her previous brilliant characterisations Avith which she has made herself so popular among Dominion theatre goers. Mr Robert Greig, Aye quote from the Christchurch Times, made Jimmy Jinks just as one Avould imagine him, never- -"obtrusive, the centre of much of the comedy, and alAvays an interesting personality. It was a clever performance in all its bearings. Mr Kenneth Brampton as the fond, jealous, and foolish husband, Alfred Hardy, Avas exceedingly natural in a Avell-conceived niece of Avork, carried out sturdily and cleverly. Mr Brampton will look to Alfred Hardy as his best work here —a fine performance. Mr Greig has had the honor of producing a comedy entirely in New Zealand. The scenery and mounting Avere made in the Dominion, as were also the furnishings. The box r>lan is open at P. T. Donnelly and Go's.
