At Opunake yards oi June 30. we held a clearing sale of Mi* Geo. Bayliss' dairy cows, etc. There was a good attendance of buyers, and satisfactory prices were obtained. Best dairy cows sold at from £14 to £18, others £9 i^S to £1.3 10s, weaners £4 13s, store lambs ]Bs. On Monday last, at Okaiawa yards, there was an average yarding. Competition was keen, and almost everything was sold at the hammer. Fat cows £11 10s to £14, forward cows £9 to £10 10s, store cows £5 to £8 10s, weaner steers £5 6s, mixed weaners £2 11s, in-calf heifers £10 .15s, store pigs £1 4s. At Auroa on Monday, we held a clearing ssalc on account of Mr P. Duggan. Buyers were in attendance, and a good sale was held. Best dairy cows sold at from £14 10s to £19, others £10 to £14j weaner heifers £5 4s, horses £19 10s to £29. Implements and sundries sold well. On Tuesday last, at Manaia, we held : a successful clearing sale of furniture on account of Mr £>. A. Johnston. , Ait Fraser road, Hawera, on Tuesday we held a clearing sale on account of Messrs Park and Rae. There was a large attendance" and a good sale. The beat dairy cows sold at from £14 to £19 10s, and £10 to £13 ]os, horses £12 to £27, store pigs £2 3s to £3, weaner pigs 21s. Implements, etc., sold at late rates. At Waverley on Wednesday, we held a sale of Mr H. Boyer's dairy cows, etfc. Owing to the very w.et day, there was a small attendance of buyers and prices were on a pair with late sales. Best cows sold at from £13 to £16 10s, others £8 10s to £12, empty cows £7 10s to £8 15s. Sundries, etc., sold at late rates. At Eltham yards on Wednesday, there was a good yarding of cattle, etc. Prices were the same as late sales. We report: Forward wethers 30s, ewes 20s 6d to 245, Jambs 19s 6d, fat cows £12 10s to £13, forward steers £14 10s, forward cows £10 to £11, store cows £7 16s to £8 10s, weaner heifers £4 7s, mixed weaners £2. The advertised dairy cows on account of Mr F. W. Frethy sold at from £9 5s to £13. On Thursday we held a clearing sale at Matapu of Messrs Bosson^. Bros.' dairy cows, etc. There was a good attendance of buyers. Best dairy cows made £13 10s to £16, others £10 to £13, empty cows £7 to £9 ss, weaners £3 6s to £4 16s, weaner pigs 16s. At Hawera yards on Thursday there was a small yarding of cattle, but a good yarding of sheep. We report a good sale. Forward cows £10 15s to j £11, fat cows £12, store cows £7 15s to £9, heifers.£6 17s, weaners £3 3s, bull £9 15s, forward wethers £1 10s to £1 13s 9d, lambs 24s 6d to 25s 6d. The dairy herds on account of Mr A. Camp, bell and Mr S. Buckrell sold att from £9 10s to £15 10s; on account of other vendors, heifers in calf made £6 10s to At Glover road yards, Hawera, on Friday, we held a clearing sale of Mr P. Bremer's pedigree Ayrshire cows. There was a good attendance of buyers, but competition was not too keen. The cows sold at from 10 guineas to 21* guineas, heifers 7% guineas to 14 guineas, grade cows £10 10s to £17 10s
