Newton King inserts entries for Inglewood cattle sale and first annual bull fair on Monday next.

Hawera Assembly, Mrs E. Higgs' Central Tea Rooms, to-night. It is also announced that a plain and fancy dress ball, in aid of Soldiers' Club, will be held on November 7.

Newton King's Stratford supplementary bull fair will be held on Saturday.

Miss C. W. Christie will deliver a lecture in the Foresters' Hall to-morrow evening on "War as a Factor in Evolution."

N.Z.L. and M.A. Co. insert entries for Palmeir road sale to-morrow, and Waverley sal© on Friday.

Jersey breeders' attention is drawn to an entry of six yearling pedigree Jersey Vi:ls for Mr Newton King's liiglewood bull fair on Wednesday next. These young bulls are mostly by "Belvedere Son Prince," a son of X.C.8., and are all out of cows that have qualified under semi-official test. The owners, Messrs A. and J. O'Donnell, are well-known breeders from Inaha.
