Many war loan banks have been specially established to lend paoer money for subscription tothe loan, on all manner of security, including furniture. Trouble will begin when the people before- the .end of the war or after the war demand the conversion of paper into cash. The: Weekly Despatch's 'Rotterdam correspondent says the ■German Government is deducting sums from; munition •workers' wages and .applying them to the war loan. This recently led to a strike and a serious; riot in Brunswick, which cavalry were summoned to quell.
