TYPHOID.

A member of the Okaiawa School Committee has informed us that there are two cases of typhoid among Maori children who have been attending the school. The medical report is that the cases are undoubtedly typhoid. In consequence, the committee have sent all Maori children home, and have reported the matter to the Health Department and to the Education Board. The committee have put the matter very forcibly to the Department, and hope that prompt action will be taken to prevent the spread of the disease.
