The final for the handicap championship was decided on Thursday, when O'Callaghan beat Turner, who gave his opponent one stroke. Miss Vera Ramsay, a youthful English lady golfer, recently won the championship of Boston, defeating in the final round by 7 up and 6 Miss Margaret Curtis, who has thrice won the Women's Championship of the United States. Miss Ramsay has often done duty with the Surrey County team. She has been looked upon for some time as a most promising player, and last year survived to the fourth round of the Ladies' Championship, after having beaten in one, round Miss M. Harrison, the crack Irish player.
