According to a Wellington Press Association message, Thomas Borthwick and Sons (Australasia), Ltd., have let a contract for extensive new meat works at Belfast, six miles from Christchurch. The plant will comprise two refrigerating machines, each having a capacity equal to seventy tons of refrigeration for twenty-four hours.
