At Opimake on the 30th ultimo we had a moderate yarding of cattle, praeally the whole of which were disposed ot at the following rates. Fresh conditioned[cows £7 to £7 15s, forward XT? i}^ GA t0mls > 6tore co^s£4 10s to £5 8s 6d, do (small) £3 7s to £4 3s dairy cows to £8, springing heifers £6 5s to £8 2s 6d, backward dairy heifers £4 15s to £5 10s, 20-month steers £4 Bs, yearling steers (small) f 2 gL6i\°-, & 15s > pearling heifers (small) £1 Us to £1 13s 6d, small store pigs £1 to £1 2s 6d. At Manaia on the * 31st ultimo, we had a small yarding of store cattle and a good muster of dairy stock. There was a fairly good demand and a fair amount of business was transacted. Fresh conditioned cows £6 to £7 5s good store cows £4 15s to £5 12s, small do £3 10s to £4 ss, small fat heifers £7 to £7 ss, best springing heifers £8 17s 6d to £10 12s 6d, others £7 to £8 2s 6d, yearling heifers £2 ss. On the Ist inst., we held a sale of pedigree Jersey cattle on account of Mr Chas. Goodson, Hawera. The stock were a well-bred lot, but had not wintered well and were in low condition. Pedigree Jersey cows brought from 12 to 29 guineas, pedigree heifers 9£ to 26 guineas, 2-year-old bulls 13£ to 14 guineas, yearling bulls 3£ to 6£ guineas. Two nice yearling bulls by Molina's General, bred by Messrs Wren Bros., Tokaora, brought 18£ and 20 guineas. On the 2nd inst., we held a clearing sale on account of Mr E. R. Hastie, Kaupokonui. There was a large attendance, and we had a successful sale. The pedigree Jersey cow Bluebell Bth brought 54gns, two pedigree Holstein cows brought 17£ and 21gns, a Holstein heifer calf sgns, a pedigree Jersey bull 35gns, grade dairy cows £16 to £17 10s; farm sundries and furniture sold very well. At Waverley, on the 3rd inst., we had a good entry of cattle. Prices were slightly easier, but the built of the stock yarded changed hands. Forward cows brought £5 3s to £5 14s, cows and calves £5 3s to £6 ss, store cows £3 15s to £4 2s, boners £2 8s to £3 ss, dairy cows £7 ss, springing heifers £5' 5s to £7 10s, 18-months empty heifers £3 2s to £3 ss, 3-year steers £6 15s to £7 16s, yearling steers *2 10s to £3 ls, yearling heifers (good) £2 2s to £2 10s, mixed hoggets 19s /d, small store pigs 235, weaner pigs 1-I'S.
