GIFTS TOWARDS HOSPITAL SHIP.

AUCKLAND, May 27. The New Zealand Furniture Trades Industrial Union of Employers, wha held their annual meeting here yesterday, decided to offer to the Government 400 kapok mattresses required for the equipment of the hospital ship. The valuo of the gift is about £500.

The offer of the New Zealand Power Boat Association to present 'one of the motor boats required for the Dominion's hospital ship has heen accepted. The association also offered to man the launch, but the Governor states thia is opposed to the regulations. The cost of the launch with complete equipment will'be probably £350.
