' 23 16 Total to date ... £316 12 At the sale of the piano stool by Smith and Easton, the* following bid for the stool and gave it for auction: — W. A. Duckworth. £2 15s, £1 15s, and 18s; F. MPls, -p? and £1 Is: W. Rob-M-tom, A. E. Wills and T. Hurley, £1 each: J. Grant, 15s. Smith and Easton some days ago had an offer of fifty beaH of poultry for use °>n the Hospital Ship." The Patea Freezing Company generously offered o freeze, ready for epxort, any such offers received. A telegram was sent to Colonel Collins, of Wellington, and Hhe following reply received: "Thanks, kind offer; will accept poultry ready for freezer; let you know date delivery later." An offer has been made to do all the plucking and preparing for sending to the freezing works., so that all is now ready to accept; any supplies of poultry available. All descriptions of ponl+ry—fowls, d-icks. geese or turkeys —will be gratefully received, and. may bfi left at~ Smith 'and Easton's Royal Mart. No doubt there will be a liberal and ready response.
