SCHOOL CHILDREN'S COLLECTIONS.

The first list of children's Empire Day collections totals £2350 from 251 school. There are three thousand schools in the State.
The Commodities Commission has recommended the seizure of chaff supplies in the State owing to alleged ■withholdings of stocks and the placing of inferior stuff on the market.
