FATAL ACCIDENT

TAUMARUNUI, May 26. A fatal accident occurred on the Taringamatu Company's timber line close to the Taringamatu railway station yesterday at 3 p.m. Frederick Drew, aged' 36. and single, was driving a train of about eleven timber waggons from the timber yards to the station and was assisted by T. Spence, as fireman. When within a quarter- of a mile of the station the engine lan off the line and the locomotive overturned.
