Viscount Wendover, whose' death from wounds was reported yesterday, was the only eon of tho Marquis of Lincolnshire, who ; as Earl Carrington, was formerly governor of New South Wales.

Many Germans have written to the papers denouncing German war methods, and some have repudiated their nationality.
