ALLEGED FORGERY.
SYDNEY, Sep. 22. Joseph Earle Hermann, a financier, was charged at the Court to-day with uttering a forged promissory note for £2689 15s 6d. The prosecution alleged that there .were other, notes, sum)osed to be forgeries, totalling nearly £42,000. Bnjl xvas refused, and the hearing was adjourned till September 29.
