CRIMINAL SESSIONS

WELLINGTON, Aug. 10. The Chief Justice presided at the Supreme Court criminal sessions to-day. True bills were found in the following cases:—William Wilson (indecent assault), Daniel O'Keefe (theft), Frederick Logan (theft), Yeative Rone Mallalieu St Mai (breaking and entering and theft), Oharles Chadwick (unnatural offence), John Dwyer (receiving stolen goods), Frederick Plimmer (theft of postal packet), Michael Boyle and Joseph Dante (conspiring to defraud), Horace Crammond (theft —eight charges), Robert Hancock (obscene language), Ezra Condon (arson), William Forbes (forgery, theft and false pretences). William Wilson was found guilty of assault on a dhild, sentence being deferred.
DUNEDIN, Aug. 10. At the criminal sittings of the Supreme Court, the first prisoner for trial was Alexander John McLeod Matheson, who was charged with indecently assaulting two little girls. He was found not guilty and discharged. David Boyd Muir was indicted for indecent exposure, and this case was in progress when the Court rose.
