AUSTRIA STILL OUTSIDE

LONDON, Aug. 10. The Daily Telegraph's correspondent reports from Nish, via Salonika, that the Austrians have so far failed to invade Servia. Great enthusiasm prevails, and the officers now expect to realise their national aspirations, take Bosnia and Herzegovina, and secure a port on the Adriatic. All men between eighteen and fifty-live are pressed into service. The mobilisation yielded 450,000. Many raw recruits, who need officers and clothes, were being formed into bands of irregulars, and thrown into Bosnia in order to foment a revolution. The actual army numbers 250,000 veterans of two campaigns. Concentration is mainly directed towards the Serbo-Hr.ri-garian frontier on the Danube, pres.;i »i----ably to junction with the Russians. Staff officers announce that the c<> .vj; ntration was completed on August 7. when a forward movement was i:.i.j ated. The Servian mobilisation has been completed. The Servians entered Bosnia near Pnoboja "to cut off the retreat of a body of Austrians. The main body has retired to Vishnegrad, which they are fortifying.
