Japanese diplomacy in China is being remodelled owing to the weakened' condition of China and the great energy displayed by the Powers in scrambling for concessions. The Daily Telegraph's correspondent says that though Count Okunna's suggestion that England and Japan ehould commercially ally themselves throughout China undoubtedly has1 certain unpractical features, the hour has sounded when the scope of the Far Eastern Alliance should-be carefully investigated by the contracting parties and all the possibilities of a doubtful future considered.
