Renovation of the apartments at Hampton Court where Cardinal Wolsey lodged has revealed some oak pannelling which had been obscured by papered canvas and also two ancient moulded doorways with the original iron hooks for hanging the massive stone doors, fine stone fireplaces, and beautiful ornamental ceilings ,all excellently preserved.
