DAIRY PRODUCE.

Stocks of butter are steadily accumulating in the. Dominion. London prices, if steady, are still very low, and America and Canada are not buyers; Africa is only to a very limited almost negligible extent (says the Post). In the opinion of some in .the trade there is too much butter held in the various stores, and prices of the retail article must soon come back, otherwise the new season's make will be coming in before the stores are anything like clear. The receding of cheese prices has been a disappointment also, but makers who sold early in the season at very good prices are not so much concerned with the lower values now ruling. No doubt the prices offered for cheese by buyers for next season will be on a lower scale than they were at the opening of-the current season. *At any rate they ' will operate with the utmost caution. The cheese season, has been highly productive all over the Dominion, and a large surplus over the 1912----1913 figures is sure to be shown.
