In spite of the inclement weather that prevailed on Friday night there was a good attendance at the benefit conceit. Mr Boche and his commitmitteo are to be congratulated on the standard of the programme put forward, and the audience showed its appreciation by encoring almost every item in the first part of the entertainment. The second half was devoted to a very amusing farce, entitled '"A Man Just Like Me/ the characters of which were ably sustained by Mrs Williams. Mr Brewer, and Mr Fama. The other items were as follows: — Overture, pianoforte, duet, Mrs C. Amon and Miss Cobinej song. Master Mitchell (encore); song,. Miss Homer (encore); sonr Mr .G. Mitchell (encore) ; song. Miss Maudie Mitchell (encore"); song, Mrs Bethune (encore); song, Miss L. Swan (encore); son.?, Mrs H. Williams (encore); soiig, Mr Fama (encore); Apache dance, by Miss Mitchell and Mr Brewer; song. After the concert the hall was cleared and dancing was indulged in and enjoyed by both I young and old.
