Dr Mary Walker, trousered and ©ilk hatted, a noted feminist who is specially committed to wear male garb, made a vigorous plea for women's frights, threatening that the women voters throughout the suffrage States jWould destroy the Democratic party {unless their demands were granted.
The Senate later deßated the question, and Senator Clapp held that all •the evil influences throughout the "United States sought to prevent woanen sretting votes, as they would instantly right many glaring social Unrrongs.
