Hawera B. beat Manaia by an innings and 115 runs. Pratt was in his brightest form and smote hard for 148, his play completely overshadowing anything else on either side. The fierceness of his hitting may be gauged from the fact that only eight singles appeared in his total, while he had five for six each, 19 fours, two threes and 14 twos. Pratt and McCarthy in the first innings, and McLaren and Page in the second innings each got five wickets. McLeod and McKellar got the best averages for Manaia.
