"BT TaLEGRAPH^PBJeSS 4SBOCIATION. /lIAMILTON, March 4. William John Renner, a well-known Waikato contractor, who was arrested at Gisborne a few days ago, has been adjudicated bankrupt. The petition of the Waikato Farmers' Auctioneering Co. shows that Renner owed a considerable amount in the district, and £1050 to petitioning firms. The grounds of the petition were t that Renner left home and intended to leave'the Dominion, with, intent to defraud and delay the creditors. Renner admitted his insolvency, hut denied any intention to abscond.
