WESTPORT, Dec. 23. Delegates representing the coal miners on the West Coast are still sitting in conference considering matters in relation to resuming work. No decision had been announced up to noon. • • * ' .

The Union Company has announced to the miners representatives: ."We are going to protect -ourselves, in regard to coal, and airangements are now in ■ train whereby 'We can immediately close an order for sufficient to ; keep us going for sGn)e months." Thirty men at the Seddonyille State mine commenced work this ihornirig loading slack into trucks to supply a Union; Company order. Three shifts will be worked.
