In reference to the death of Mrs George Milham, of Whakamara, which we chronicled last week, the deceased lady was the youngest daughter of the late Mr Benjamin Vickery, of Opunake.

Mr William Hopkins ("Hop" of the Bulletin) and Mr A. McLeod (of the Bulletin proprietary) will tour as members of the Sydney team of bowlers who are coming to New Zealand next month. ;

A Press Association message from Auckland says that the appointment of Superintendent N. Kiely to take charge of the Auckland police district, in place of- Superintendent A. J. Mitchell, is announced. Superintendent Kiely has been in charge at Auckland practically since the beginning ol the strike.

Mr Thomas Gresham, for many years city coroner, has announced that he will be a candidate for the Auckland West seat at the next Parliamentary election. Mr Gresham states that he will continue to help the workers and will direct his energies towards advancing the Liberal party under the leadership of Sir Joseph Ward.
