The offer was declined, the captain deciding to keep the crew; together, in anticipation of £n ealrfy visit of a schooner to the isiland which would carry them ,to Totiga. He a^sked the Antiope to report to his owners in Havre. The Latour Deutergne had -..broken amidships; she was full of water, and the wreck was sold to traders for £90. ■
