APPOINTMENTS RECOMMENDED
BY TELEGRAPH—P&ESS ASSOCIATION. '■■■■■- RUNEDIN, Dec. 8. A meeting of the Presbyterian Church Board of J?roperty was held today to coiisider^.applications for the position of Professor of Natural Philosophy. Twenty applications were received for the chair of natural philosophy, and the Board decided to recommend Dr. Jack, lecturer on physics in Belfast University, for appointment. For the chair of mental and moral philosophy ten applications were received, aud the Board recommended Dr. Frank W. Dunlop, of Sydney, for appointment.' Dr. Dunlop is a son of the late Dr. Dunlop, who, w,as for many years Professor in the Theological Hall of the Presbyterian Church in Dunedin. , The recommendations will be forwarded to the Synod of Otago and Southland for concurrence.
