Before the Commission enquiring into the question of the establishment of iron and steel works at Newcastle, Mr Delprat, general manager of the Broken Hill Proprietary Company, 6tated that the company would spend over a million on the works during the first two or three years, would employ four to five hundred men, and was prepared to supply all the needs of Australia.
